Pug is a dog race with a wrinkly face and medium-sized body. The word “pug” comes from the Latin meaning pugnus fist, like a pug face that looks like a fist.
Origin

Pug maintained to entertain Chinese emperors during the Shang dynasty (1776-1122 BC) in eastern China, was known by the name of Lo-Chiang-Sze or Foo. Pug’s popularity spread to Tibet, especially the many preserved by the monks, and later brought to Japan and finally Europe.
